“To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common. this is my symphony." w.e. channing

That baby photo is just darling! And I think I have those same books on one of my shelves. :-) What a nice light glow on those books.
Sweet baby! Oh my. I want one.
Hi Debbie!
Oh, you are such a pearl. I love my new books! The shrew is so cute and I've always wondered about Faith Baldwin. She's good. Thank you SO much.
You have such good taste.
Good words to live by. That smiling baby -- wanting to kiss those cheeks.
A baby, some wonderful old books and a wise saying. These are quite an inspiration for the new day!
Thanks for your comment on my blog. I think one of the freeing thing I've learned about drawing is that even the masters used models to draw from. Very few are good at drawing from memory! :D
Keep being content with the small wonders of life and you will be one of the happy ones!
Which baby is that? I feel certain it's one of mine but I'm not sure which! :)
