Got your comment. By all means, do not throw out all that cool ephemera you've collected! so many possibilities. (At least that's what I tell myself.) :-) My daughter went to the Derby once. That would be an amazing experience even if you don't think you're too into horses. You'd be surprised how exciting a real live horse race is!!
Thanks for your comment on the vintage card catalog. Another of my favorite things is the black slate board. We have several of them here, from out of old schools where they would otherwise have been destroyed. Who would destroy a blackboard??? :-) (obviously, not me.)

Great bag! I love big art books, and good, thick historical fiction. And I like a nice book bag, too!
