Around the House-Part 4, Final Installment, Maybe

As I was shooting all these photos, I realized that I like hardware and furniture with swirly things. Every dark piece of furniture, either cherry or mahogany, has flourishes on it.

And yes, that label on the bookcase, 270 CHURCH HISTORY, is a Dewey Decimal System number. I admit it...I have my non-fiction books arranged in that system. I had the greatest fun organizing it, too. I'm a book nerd and order freak of a high order! I'm not ashamed.

Fascinating! I love all the swirls!
I don't have the ordering gene. Oh well.
I hope it's fun at your house!

I have that English Gardens book also! (I can't help reading spines of books. If I'm in a bookstore and the spine is faded, I always have to pick up the book so I can read the title.

LOVE the skeleton keys photo best of all!

I do have my books categorized, but not in DD order. You will be so disappointed in my upcoming 'card catalog' post. :-)

You are artful, in more ways than one it would seem!

Thank you for your comment; it is a path some must walk and I have found none to compare with it.

I look forward to reading your blog posts soon...

I see what you mean about the swirls. It must make your home very harmonious, to have a consistent decorating theme.
My husband always says he can't find a book in our bookshelves because I don't have them arranged alphabetically, whereas I remember exactly where everything is.
