New Additions to my Library

These are the books that I bought last week at our local library's 'Friends of the Library' sale. I've been wanting to join this organization for a few years but haven't had the time for anything extra.

One of the perks of membership is being able to come to this sale first before the general public. I stayed about two hours and came home with these stacks. I spent $37.00 for 25+ books. Not a bad deal at all!

Where I'm going to put them I don't know. I think I'll go through my 600+ collection of fiction and weed out what I know I won't ever want to read again and replace those with the new books.

This is the first time I've looked in - happened upon you from another blog but can't remember which one, maybe Letters from a Hill Farm? Anwyay, hi from England! Love the pile of books; if anything draws me to a 'new' blog, it's a lovely pile of books! But, strangely enough, I have neither read nor have any of these - thank goodness there are sufficient books in the world for us all to have something entirely different!
Re a post a short while ago in which you list things which make you feel "grounded." As someone else mentioned, I've not too sure what this means? Does it mean that you draw pleasure from ordinary activities, such as vacuuming or reading?
Will look in again,

A fascinating collection you brought home....I don't dare go to a library sale anytime soon - just looking at your stacks from here gets me too excited, with no time to act on the impulses. Happy reading! You are all set for summertime now.

Nothing better than a library sale - unless it's a giftcard from Amazon. :-) Thanks for commenting on Cranberry Morning. I've enjoyed looking at your blog. We enjoy so many of the same books and movies - so are you an Elinor Dashwood too? LOL

My problem with books is ever throwing out any. :-(

Great stack! Some I've read and loved and some I'd like to read.

Yea, library book sales! I see many in your stacks that I'd love to read! I rarely spend more than $5 at my library sale and come home with bags full! I love shopping in the 10 cent room! Like you I have to do some weeding to make room! I consider my bookshelves to represent a lifetime of reading. No hurry; much to look forward to!
